Banksy in New Orleans: Then and Now
Exactly three years after Hurricane Katrina, Banksy showed up in New Orleans. He left his mark around the city, providing stenciled commentary on the post-Katrina days and our own Gray Ghost. Most of the works are gone by now, but several remain. I photographed eight of the seventeen Banksy pieces in September 2008 and again in December 2010.
The photos here don’t represent all the pieces that are left. I believe two more still exist in their entirety and a few others are only partially covered. Feel free to weigh in on which other pieces are still around.
